Italian Architecture

A minimalistic project focusing on patterns and textures, inspired by the fascinating architecture of Northern Italy.

This knit project was focused on a trip to Northern Italy in 2023. I was inspired by the colours, patterns, textures and compositions of the incredible architecture found here. Using different yarn fibres, embellishments and knit/ crochet processes, I created this cohesive final collection of samples. 

I used a mix of crochet, fairisle machine knit and stoll knitting, along with hand embroidering to create these samples.
